The new Hero Xtreme 200R retains the same design from the concept model, albeit refined for a slightly sharper look. The street-fighter gets LED pilot lamps, LED taillight, an analog-digital instrument console, alloy wheels and more. Power comes from a 200 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out about 18 bhp and 17 Nm of peak torque. The engine is expected to come paired with a 5-speed transmission.
The suspension setup includes 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and an 8-step monoshock at the rear, while disc brakes at both ends will handle stopping duties. ABS is offered as an option. The Hero Xtreme 200R is expected to be competitively priced over the competition, so expect the model to set you back by about Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom), when it hits the showrooms. Hero will launch the model around April this year and that's we'll know of the prices.
