Hyundai Bayon

Introduction 

• Hyundai Motors has officially confirmed the Bayon as a mid-size SUV.  

• The Bayon is said to sit between the Venue and the next-generation Creta in the carmaker's lineup.  

• It is expected to be offered with a naturally aspirated petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG option.  

• This car is likely to come with a dual-screen cockpit, a 360-degree camera, and many other features.  

Hyundai Bayon – Exterior 

• The Bayon’s fascia is expected to feature split LED headlamps with a wide, sculpted lower bumper for a commanding presence.  

• Sharp character lines will likely run along the side profile, merging into its contemporary rear lighting.  

• This car’s rear profile will probably be accentuated by connected or helix-inspired LED taillamps, in line with Hyundai's recent design language. 

• Its alloy wheel options are said to be available up to 17-inches.  

• Other exterior features might include door-mounted ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. 

Hyundai Bayon – Interior 

• The Bayon’s cabin can be expected to feature a dual-toned theme with soft-touch materials on key touchpoints. 

• Its dashboard may get curved dual 12.3-inch screens, one for the digital instrument cluster and another for the central infotainment touchscreen. 

• This car’s anticipated connectivity features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and multi-zone automatic climate control. 

• For an immersive experience, a premium audio system (Bose or equivalent) is likely to be offered on higher variants. 

• Some sources indicate that the Bayon may come with safety features like Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), tyre-pressure monitoring system, and Level 2 ADAS.  

Hyundai Bayon – Powertrain 

• The Bayon is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine.  

• Transmission choices are likely to include a six-speed manual and an IVT or CVT, depending on its variants. 

• If the Bayon features a factory fitted CNG option, it could make it the first Hyundai model over four metres in India to offer CNG.
