Introduction

• Mini launched the 2025 edition of the Cooper S Convertible in India in December 2025.
• It is imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and was priced at Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
• The biggest USP of this compact cutesy car is its open roof for a wind-in-the-hair experience.
• This fabric roof can be lowered or raised in 18 seconds and 15 seconds, respectively.
• It has a ‘sunroof mode’ where the top slides open partially.
• And interestingly, all of these mechanisms can happen at speeds of up to 30kmph.

Mini Cooper S Convertible - Exterior

• In typical 'Mini' style, the new Cooper S Convertible also features circular LED headlamps.
• Then, there's an octagonal grille and the taillights which come integrated with a Union Jack graphic.
• The car rides on big 18-inch alloy wheels filling the wheel wells nicely.
• It even has a black plastic cladding around the wheel arches, side skirts, and bumpers.

• Inside, the Cooper S Convertible sports a minimalistic dashboard.
• Again, in typical 'Mini' style, it boasts a circular 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen in the centre.
• The Cooper S also gets a two-spoke steering wheel with a head-up display.
• Features like a Harman Kardon sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, and a wireless charger are standard.
• There are even features such as a rearview camera and a driver’s seat with massage function.

Powertrain of the Mini Cooper S Convertible

• Under the bonnet of the Mini Cooper S Convertible is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine.
• This mill produces 201bhp and 300Nm of torque, and power is sent to the front wheels.
• On the transmission front, the engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
• Interestingly, Mini claims a 0-100kmph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 237kmph.
