The Volkswagen Vento finally got an automatic option recently, however, the much-loved DSG automatic has been replaced by a new 6-speed automatic torque converter. We recently got a chance to test the car and here's what we think about it.

Under the BS6 regime, the 2020 Volkswagen Vento sedan, which now comes with a new 1.0 litre TSI petrol engine that promises to be both fun and frugal. We spent to day with the car to find out if there is any truth to that.

The German car maker, Volkswagen, now has in store for you the Vento TSI. This car, with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine generating 103bhp and a torque of 175Nm, is a car for the ones living life on the fast lane. Priced at 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the car hasn't gone through any changes to the exterior or interiors or even the ride quality. Nevertheless, Vento TSI is the best version of it in offer.

The new Vento is only so new. Yes that is pretty much how it goes for most facelifts I know, but some mechanical changes would be nice too, eh?

Apprentices of the Volkswagen Academy India's three-year Dual Apprenticeship course, have built a firefighting car for the Volkswagen Pune plant's Safety Department. A group of 14 apprentices have submitted this as their final year project.
