Yamaha Aerox E

Introduction

• The Aerox E has retained the familiar sporty styling elements from the ICE version, the Aerox 155.
• The electric scooter emerges as Yamaha’s most expensive two-wheeler offering in the country.
• For convenience, the Aerox E gets two removable 1.5 kWh battery packs, which can be detached easily and charged anywhere as per convenience.
• The company claims that the two-level seat offers superior comfort and movement for both the rider and the passenger.

Yamaha Aerox E – Features and Equipment

• The Aerox E gets the twin LED headlamp setup as offered in the regular ICE version.
• The electric scooter gets a colour TFT instrument cluster that reads out all vital information.
• The Aerox E comes with a Smart Key with an answer back function in the form of flashing blinkers and a buzzer sound.
• The scooter gets a telescopic fork in the front and twin rear shock absorbers.
• The electric scooter is equipped with single channel ABS, with disc brakes in the front as well as the rear.
• It offers a reverse mode for convenience.
• Charging one battery from 0-100 per cent takes 3 hours and 10 minutes, while charging both packs together requires 6 hours and 20 minutes.

Powertrain – Yamaha Aerox E

• The Aerox E is powered by a 9.4 kW (12.6 bhp) electric motor which produces a peak of 48 Nm of torque.
• As per the company, Aerox E has a claimed driving range of up to 117 kms (IDC) on a full charge.
• The Yamaha Aerox E offers three riding modes: Eco, Standard, and Power.
• The electric scooter has a claimed top speed of 95.5 kmph in the Power mode with the Boost function activated.
