- Its twin-spar Xleton frame with a cast aluminium subframe boosts structural stiffness for an engaging ride.
- The 0-60kmph run takes just 4.5 seconds and hits a top speed of 108 kmph in Xonic mode.
- In Xtealth mode, the claimed range is 140 km on a full charge.
- The tilt-adjustable 10.25-inch colour TFT display brings navigation, location sharing, and more.
- Keyless operation lets you unlock the vehicle using a smartphone or smartwatch.
- It has cruise control, hill-hold assist, reverse assist, and single-channel ABS (front and rear discs).
- It has an offset rear monoshock fitted to a single-sided swingarm with 12-inch alloys and silica compound tyres.
- The centralised mass distribution along with 134 kg weight gives you confidence when leaning into corners.
- The 19 litres of under-seat storage fits a full-size helmet.
Cons
- It is one the costlier electric scooters on sale today.
- Chargers are considerably expensive and sold separately.
- Its electric motor gives out an audible whine while accelerating from low speeds.
- The spine-mounted battery layout means you do not get a flat floorboard, which limits usability.
- A sensitive rear disc setup requires you to modulate lever pressure to prevent locking the rear wheel.
Verdict
The TVS X is a remarkable effort from the brand’s engineering point of view. The sharp futuristic stance, long list of high-end tech, chassis rigidity, strong motor acceleration, and enriched display features ensure it stands out from the crowd.
Janak Sorap said in his review, "After spending a few hours riding the new X at the test track, it is clear that like most of the products that TVS offers in its portfolio, this one too offered a high level of engineering, technology and design, and for that the X is indeed a very impressive scooter."
However, it is costly and separate charger costs further demonstrate its niche positioning. Nevertheless, those who want exclusivity, advanced features, and track-derived dynamics, this flagship machine certainly fits the bill.
