Zaz Hollis, Director - Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India has revealed that the Rapid replacement has been internally codenamed the 'ANB Sedan' and will be launched by the end of 2021. Skoda Auto Volkswagen To Install One Of India's Largest Solar Panel Rooftops At Chakan Plant
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWPL) will be setting up one of the largest solar-power rooftop systems in India at its Chakan-based facility, the company has announced. The German auto giant has partnered with Amp Energy to install a total of 25,770 photovoltaic panels that will cover up to 15 per cent of the site's annual electricity requirements. Amp Energy is a global company that develops flexible and clean energy infrastructure. The solar panels have a maximum output of 8.5 megawatts, and will dramatically help reduce the automaker's dependency on non-renewable energy at the Chakan plant.

Kia Motor Applies For New Logo Trademark In South Korea
Keeping up with the fast-evolving auto sector has made automakers reposition themselves and how they are perceived, and more and more manufacturers have been updating their respective logos to appear future-ready. Joining this bandwagon could be Kia Motors that could switch to a new logo soon. The South Korean carmaker has filed a new logo design with the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS), and the new corporate logo sports a stylised 2D design that can be replicated much easily across multiple platforms. The trademark applications date to November 26, 2019, for the new Kia badge finished in black and red and does a good job of showcasing how much the brand has evolved over the years.

TVS Announces Winners Of First-Ever TVS NTorq Call Of Design Contest
Two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company concluded its maiden edition of the TVS NTorq 125 Call Of Design Contest today. The competition saw 20 design institutes participating from across the country with six designs making it to the TVS plant at Hosur, Tamil Nadu, for the final round. After much scrutiny, it was Evanka Thimmiah from Strate School of Design, Bengaluru that took the top honours for her rendition of the TVS NTorq 125 scooter. The winner gets a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and the TVS NTorq 125.

India Yamaha Motor has announced the inauguration of its new 'Blue Square' concept showroom in the country. The first-of-its-kind outlet was launched in Chennai recently, as part of the brand's 'The Call of the Blue' campaign. Italian luxury marque, Maserati has introduced the petrol derivatives of the Ghibli, Quattroporte and the Levante in India. The three cars are powered by the 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that is available in two states of tune - 345 bhp and 425 bhp. The new models are part of the brand's MY2020 range with prices starting from Rs. 1.31 crore for the Maserati Ghibli, going up to Rs. 1.73 crore for the Maserati Quattroporte S (all-prices, ex-showroom India). Jawa Motorcycles Have A 5 Month Waiting Period
The waiting period for Jawa Motorcycles range of offerings stands at five months, according to a statement made by the company. The Mahindra Group two-wheeler maker took to social media recently to denounce media reports that the waiting time was reduced to just 10-15 days. Based on unverified customer accounts, certain reports suggested that the waiting period for the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two had reduced now. However, that does not seem to be the case. Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 BS6 Version Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 1.45 Lakh
Yamaha Motor India has announced the launch of the BS6 version of the YZF-R15 V3.0 in India. The new Yamaha YZF-R15 BS6 model is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and comes with additional features aimed to bring more value to the motorcycle. The model is now more expensive by about Rs. 2000 over the BS4 version, and is now available across the manufacturer's dealerships pan India. The R15 BS6 joins the Yamaha FZ and the FZS motorcycles that were upgraded to BS6 emission norms last month in the company's stable. In terms of equipment, the 2020 Yamaha R15 BS6 now comes with a side-stand engine cut-off switch, dual horn and radial tubeless tyre for the rear wheel as standard.

Kia Motors India To Commence Carnival MPV Production By Early 2020
Kia Motors India entered India with a bang with the launch of the Seltos compact SUV and the automaker's next product for the Indian market will be the Carnival MPV. The Kia Carnival is a Toyota Innova Crysta rival and we already told you that the model is slated to make its way to the Indian market next year. Now, Kia India has confirmed that production of the upcoming MPV will begin by early 2020 at the Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh.
