The BMW R nineT is one of the coolest modern retro motorcycles. The handlebar is placed higher and the seat is repositioned, which allows for a confident and relaxed seating position. The suspension also has slightly longer spring travel, which makes a better ride quality.
The R nineT and R nineT Scrambler are powered by the same 1,170 cc, air/oil-cooled two-cylinder engine with an output of 109 bhp at 7,520 rpm and peak torque of 119 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Both bikes feature two riding modes, Road and Rain, and are capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 200 kmph. 'Rain' mode offers a gentle throttle response combined with sensitive control of the Automatic Stability Control (ASC) to provide increased safety in low traction conditions. In 'Road' mode, throttle response is balanced, and ASC control is geared towards dry and non-slip road conditions.Other safety equipment include ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and a new suspension strut with travel-independent damping (WAD). A new shock absorber with WAD has also been introduced which offers convenient sprint preload adjustment via a hand wheel.

Verdict
The BMW R nineT is a beautiful looking modern classic motorcycle, with a perfect blend of the classic styling of old BMW motorcycles from the 1960s with the latest technological advancements of engineering and electronics. It gets an air-cooled boxer twin engine and offers solid performance. But it is heavy and the engine tends to heat up as well. Not to mention the high cost of ownership that is required.

- Purist feeling on a modern bike4.0STD BS IV(Petrol)This bike has really impressed my since the first time I saw it, it really brings memories of the old school biking but with a look that is up to the most trendy bikes of nowadays. The geometry is really well balanced and posses a very stable frame. The suspension and center of gravity makes it very agile on the twisted curves, the brakes and handle position makes it safe to ride even at the limit. For me the only down point would be the confort, the suspension is perfect for middle to agressive riding, but not really thought for touring.
