Honda recently ended the introductory pricing period for this compact sedan. The manufacturer applied a price hike ranging between Rs 10,000 and Rs 30,000, depending on the exact trim. You can choose between three distinct variants named V, VX, and ZX. Honda completely dropped the bare-bones entry-level option this time around. Every single variant now comes packed with a strong list of standard equipment.

Base Model- Honda Amaze base model.

The V trim serves as your entry point. The manual version costs Rs. 8.1 lakh while the CVT automatic will set you back Rs. 9.35 lakh. You get the 1.2 litre petrol engine with both gearbox options. You are choosing pure value here, but you still get a very generous feature list.

Key highlights include:

• LED projector headlamps and LED tail lamps
• 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
• Part-digital instrument cluster with 7-inch TFT screen

Front

As you look at the Honda Amaze, the most significant styling difference lies right at the front. The manufacturer completely abandoned the older big car small package design language. The grille has become significantly flatter and wider. This aggressive styling is evidently influenced by the larger Honda Elevate SUV. It gives the subcompact sedan a much more confident and upmarket stance.

Honda claims these new headlight units offer superior projection at night. We can confidently confirm visibility is excellent when you drive down unlit rural roads.

Side

The overall footprint remains largely similar to the earlier generation model, but the proportions have grown slightly wider. The car measures 3,995mm in length and stands 1,500mm tall. The width is now 1,733mm which translates directly into better shoulder room inside the cabin. The car sits on a 2,470mm wheelbase.
The base V model features 14-inch steel wheels, while the higher VX and ZX trims get sharp 15-inch alloys. The unladen ground clearance is a massive 172mm. This is a major structural strength compared to lower-slung rivals in the segment. We found it easily tackles steep speed breakers and badly broken tarmac without ever scraping the underbelly.

Rear

The design at the back reminds us heavily of the larger Honda City. The LED tail lamps look sharp and classy, which elevates the overall aesthetic. The finish on the boot lid is much smoother than before. The car retains a slightly boxy shape at the rear.
This is a deliberate design choice that plays to its advantage. That specific shape translates directly into a highly usable 416-litre boot space.
On the road, the car mixes smoothly into city traffic with a silent confidence. It does not look overly flashy. Rather, it appears perfectly suited for a normal Indian urban setting.
