The XC40 is Volvo's first ever compact SUV and it sure did left us with a positive impression. Here's our first drive report of the latest SUV from Volvo.

The growth was led by the Volvo Car India's luxury SUV segment and the XC60 stood out to be the bestselling model followed by the compact SUV XC40.

Volvo Cars plans to make lidar sensors standard equipment in a new generation of its XC90 SUV next year as part of a strategy to deploy more advanced safety and automated driving technology that relies on precise images of the world around the vehicle.

Volvo has unveiled the performance-oriented Polestar version of the XC60 and V60. Both the cars are plug-in hybrid models and are based on the standard T8 variants, however, will be faster. They are powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol motor which is tuned to churn out 415 bhp (15 bhp more) and 669 Nm of peak torque (33 Nm more) and the engine is coupled with an electric motor. The Polestar powered XC60 and V60 are quicker to triple-digit speeds and can clock 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds.

The new-generation Volvo XC60 made its public debut today at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It was Thomas Ingenlath who introduced the world to the all-new Volvo XC60 and it is he who is helping the company move to a new design direction. The XC60 is all set to take on the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, and Porsche Macan when it goes on sale later in 2017.

Designed to provide automatic steering assistance or support to help the driver avoid potential collisions, Volvo believes that these new safety features will make the new XC60 one of the safest cars on the road.

Volvo unveiled its new estate concept ahead of 2014 Geneva Motor show and it is every bit striking to look at. This is the third concept car from the Volvo stable.
