Can the Triumph Thruxton 400 be used for long-distance touring?

The Triumph Thruxton 400 is capable of highway touring, but it is designed primarily as a cafe racer rather than a touring motorcycle. The front fairing provides some wind protection and the engine cruises comfortably at highway speeds. However, the forward-leaning riding position, limited luggage options and compact pillion seat can make longer journeys less comfortable than on a roadster or sports tourer.
