TVS Apache RTX 300

Introduction 

• The new TVS Apache RTX 300 is an adventure-tourer motorcycle.
• This brings in the third category to the Apache series, apart from the existing naked and faired models.
• The RTX 300 is offered in five colour options including Tarn Bronze, Viper Green, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Metallic Blue.
• There are three variants on offer such as the Base (Rs. 1.99 lakh), Top (Rs. 2.14 lakh), and Built to Order (BTO, Rs. 2.29 lakh).

Features and Equipment 

• Built on a steel trellis frame, the new RTX 300 boasts a long-travel suspension with a gold-finished upside-down front fork from WP and a rear mono shock with a floating piston.
• It's top-spec variant benefits from a Class D headlight with LED DRLs.
• Moreover, there's a 5.0-inch TFT dash that incorporates turn-by-turn navigation.
• This adventure-tourer has four ride modes – Rain, Urban, Tour, and Rally.
• Also part of the package is a bidirectional quick-shifter and cruise control.
• On the other hand, the BTO variant further gets an adjustable suspension, tyre pressure monitoring, and a brass-coated chain.
• Other notable features include a two-level traction control, wheelie mitigation, and anti-lock braking system with three modes.
• Interestingly, TVS is offering a wide range of official accessories for the RTX.
• For example, a raised beak fender, bash plate, knuckle guards, tank guard, USB phone charger, and a rear hugger fender can be purchased from a dealer.
• Serious tourers can also buy a GIVI top box and side panniers with Monolock and quick-release systems.

Engine and Gearbox

• A brand-new, 299.1cc RTX-D4 engine powers the RTX 300.
• It's the same engine that was unveiled at the 2024 edition of TVS MotoSoul.
• This motor has dual overhead camshafts, twin oil pumps, liquid- as well as oil-cooling, and a dual separator breather.
• The engine's power output is rated at 35.5bhp at 9,000 rpm, and 28.5Nm torque at 7,000 rpm.
• On the transmission front, the RTX 300 gets a six-speed manual gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter.
• What's more, the TVS Apache RTX 300 employs a ride-by-wire throttle system as well.
