Based on Yamaha's MT-15, the XSR155 is a retro-styled naked street bike.? The motorcycle was first unveiled in the international market and since then has created quite a buzz in the Indian two-wheeler market. The main highlight of the XSR155 is its retro-inspired design comprising a circular LED headlight flanked by a round meter housing. Even the tail lamp is finished in a circular design. The XSR155 takes inspiration from Yamaha’s 'Sport Heritage' design language which is present on other bikes like the XSR 700 and XSR 900, that are available in international markets.

As the name suggests, the XSR155 will be powered by the same 155-cc engine that does duty on the MT-15 and YZF-R15. The motor is rated to produce 19 bhp and 14.7 Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike will feature a twin-spar frame, with USDs and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking will be handled by disc brakes at both ends.
