Yamaha XSR155 Launched In India At Rs 1.50 Lakh

After being spotted testing multiple times, Yamaha Motor India has launched the XSR155 in the country. Priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the XSR155 is the most accessible 155 cc in the brand's India lineup. It shares its underpinnings with its stablemates, the R15 and the MT-15 and shares most of the cycle parts as well.

The XSR155 adopts a retro-oriented design with a round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat bench seat. The neo-retro motorcycle is equipped with the same underpinnings as the R15 and MT-15, employing Yamaha’s Deltabox frame paired with upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear.
Powering the XSR155 is the same 155 cc liquid-cooled engine, producing 18.1 bhp and 14 Nm of torque. The unit is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an assist-and-slipper clutch.

Dual-channel ABS and traction control are included, but the motorcycle makes do with an LCD instrument console instead of a TFT display. It has a kerb weight of 137 kg and rides on 17-inch wheels. The motorcycle has a seat height of 810 mm and a ground clearance of 120 mm, while the fuel tank capacity is rated to be 10 litres.
Priced at Rs 1.50 lakh, the XSR155 comes in Rs 5,000 lower than the base MT-15 and Rs 4,000 less than the base R15. It is offered in a single variant while colour options include silver, blue, green and red, each paired with contrasting colours.
