New Bajaj Pulsar 150 Spotted Ahead Of Launch

No matter how many updates it has received over the years, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 has always stayed true to the formula that made it a household name. That, however, looks set to change with the 2026 model. The updated Pulsar 150 has been spotted at a dealership, revealing a series of changes compared to the erstwhile model. From what’s visible, let’s take a look at all that changed.

Perhaps the biggest giveaway is the frame. The new Pulsar 150 switches to a single-downtube chassis, replacing the older architecture that has been around for well over a decade. The new platform is expected to underpin more of Bajaj's commuter motorcycles going forward.

Towards the rear, the familiar twin shock absorbers have been dropped in favour of a monoshock, while telescopic forks continue to handle suspension duties up front.

Another significant update is on the powertrain front. The outgoing Pulsar 150 has always relied on an air-cooled engine, but the new motorcycle gets an oil-cooled single-cylinder unit instead. Bajaj hasn't revealed performance figures yet, although the addition of oil cooling should help improve thermal management and could also allow the engine to produce more power than before. For reference, the current Pulsar 150 churns out almost 14 bhp and 13.3 Nm from its 149.5cc engine.

Even though it is unmistakably a Pulsar, almost every panel looks new. There's a redesigned headlamp cowl, fresh tank shrouds and a cleaner tail section, although the signature twin-pod LED tail-lamps have been retained. The overall design also appears to borrow cues from Bajaj's latest Pulsar family.

The motorcycle spotted at the dealership is equipped with a colour LCD instrument cluster. However, after today's launch of the Pulsar N160 SS with its 5-inch TFT display, it remains to be seen whether Bajaj will offer the same on higher-spec Pulsar 150 variant.

The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. Braking hardware consists of a front disc and rear drum, with ABS also part of the package.

The fact that production-spec motorcycles have already begun arriving at dealerships suggests that the new Pulsar 150 could launch in the coming days. Expect Bajaj to hike prices of the updated model marginally. For reference, prices for the existing Pulsar 150 range between Rs 1.12 lakh and Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
