The Volkswagen Polo was manufactured in India from 2009 onwards. The Volkswagen Polo car is actually a Supermini or 5 seater hatchback. There are five petrol variants of the premium hatchback in the Indian market and it offers seating capacity comfortably for 5 people. The Volkswagen Polo also offers 280 litres of boot space for owners while not possessing split folding rear seats.
The Volkswagen Polo is reasonably comfortable for long drives on the highway or long distance traveling with its spacious second row and comfortable seating. It is not a car meant for off-roading. The Polo has a punchy 999 cc or 1 litre engine which dishes out a handsome 75 or 109 BHP, depending upon the variant. Notably, peak torque figures vary from 95 to 175 Nm as well. Performance is good with the automatic and manual transmission options alike. The Volkswagen Polo is also high on mileage and offers between 17.8-18.2 kilometres per liter. The Volkswagen Polo has received the ASEAN 4-star safety rating while offering impeccable build quality as well.
