The Yamaha Motor Company started manufacturing the Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 in 2008. It is a sports bike and is regarded the best among the 150 cc segment in India. The second and third reiteration was released in India in 2011 and 2017 respectively. The third Yamaha R15 v3.0 is the third generation sports bike that has a new motor, better power figures, a new design and many additional features. The design of R15 is greatly inspired by the R1, its elder sibling. The upgraded R15 has new LED headlights, a muscular fuel tank, rearview mirrors, new widescreen, an aerodynamic front cowl and an air vent. The dual-tone colour scheme gives the sports bike its aggressive look and comes loaded with features like a VVA indicator, shift light, and a USB charging connector. The R15 V3.0 has a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke 4-valve, SOHC petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 19.03 bhp @ 10,000rpm and maximum torque of 15Nm @ 8,500rpm. It also has a 6-speed manual gearbox. The four variants offered are Thunder Grey, Metallic Red, Dark Night BS6, and Racing Blue. It is a two-seater sports bike with comfortable seats having a height of 1135 mm. The mileage of R15 V3.0 is 48.75 kmpl. It is available in 4 exciting colours- Dark Night, Thunder Grey, Metallic Red, and Racing Blue. The latest V3.0 is larger, more performance-oriented and more powerful. The racetrack-worthy Yamaha r15 v3.0 comes with additional features and greater power figures. The third iteration was launched in 2017 to replace the older version R15 V2.0 and the proportions are definitely a cut above. The sporty, sleek and sharp tailoring is much inspired from the older R1 and the dual-tone colouring flaunts an aggressive appearance of the bike.
