BMW was one of the first legacy automaker to foray into the electric world with its proper, fully electric BMW i3 almost a decade ago. In 2022, BMW decided to expand its "i" family of electric cars, as the Bavarian carmaker introduced the BMW i4 electric sedan that lays foundation of an electric sports sedan that will eventually replace its ICE counterpart.
