  • What's New on BMW New X3?

BMW is set to update the X3 in India with a more powerful engine option. Currently sold in 20 petrol and 20d diesel guise, the luxury SUV will gain the option of a more powerful 30 petrol variant in a new M Sport Pro guise. BMW has said that the new 30 xDrive variant of the X3 will be launched in India on February 16, 2026, with pre-bookings opening from January 30 at 12:30 pm.

Focusing on the powertrain, the X3 30 xDrive will retain the services of the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine but in a more powerful state of tune. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol develops 187 bhp and 310 Nm, with the 30 xDrive expected to up this figure to 255 bhp and 400 Nm - similar to the output in the 330Li and the 530Li sedans. As with the 20 petrol, the more powerful unit is expected to be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive.

Other Upcoming BMW Models are the 4 Series, iX3 and New M3

In January of 2022, BMW India released the redesigned BMW X3 premium SUV. The SUV's exterior and interior have been changed to make them more modern and stylish. New and improved features can be found in the vehicle's premium cabin, and its technology has also been upgraded. The updated X3 is imported to India as CKD (completely knocked down) components and assembled in the manufacturer's Chennai facility. Only two gasoline models of the X3 are now available from the manufacturer: the BMW X3 xDrive 30i SportX Plus and the BMW X3 xDrive 30i M Sport.

There is a solid reason why the BMW X3 is such a popular car. It is fashionable as well as comfortable and potent. But what does the leather business have to do with this car and why should you care? Both companies are significantly reliant on various forms of technology to operate well. The BMW X3 is one of the most technologically advanced automobiles now available on the market as a result of BMW's development of a variety of ground-breaking technology. It is so cutting-edge that it even comes with its very own operating system! In a similar vein, the leather sector has come to rely largely on technology to make its commercial operations possible. There is not a single part of the industry that does not contain some kind of technological component. This includes anything from tanneries to transportation enterprises. As can be seen, the functioning of each of these industries is significantly reliant on various forms of technology. These companies will also continue to develop in tandem with the progression of technology.

The BMW X3 is an automobile that has earned several honors due to its clean design and elegant appearance. The xDrive30i and the xDrive35i are the two distinct variants that are offered for purchase. All-wheel drive, a turbocharged powertrain, and an eight-speed automatic transmission come standard on the xDrive30i. Other standard equipment include: The xDrive35i comes equipped with an increased number of extras, such as leather seats, a moon roof, and a more powerful engine.

The X3 has a design that manages to be both elegant and athletic at the same time. It has clean lines, and its profile is not very high. The enormous rectangular grille that takes up the majority of the front end is surrounded on all sides by ornate embellishments. The front fascia features angular headlamps that are mounted high up on the hood. The hood also features a massive insignia in the shape of a kidney, which contributes to the car's one-of-a-kind appearance.

There are two exhaust pipes located behind the rear-view mirror, and they are on either side of a big diffuser panel. The exterior of the vehicle is painted black, and there are silver accents in contrasting locations such as the door handles, window trim, and center console. This combination produces a stunning appearance that distinguishes itself from the appearance of other vehicles on the road.

Pros

  • Impressive Design And Styling
  • Comes In Exclusive Brooklyn Grey Metallic Colour
  • Offered In Both Petrol And Diesel Options

Cons

  • Doesn’T Get Ventilated Seats
  • Doesn’T Get Wireless Charger
  • Stiff Ride Quality

Verdict

The BMW X3 stands shoulder-to-shoulder with its competitors, excelling in performance and offering competitive pricing. In certain aspects, it surpasses its rivals, notably being one of the few, alongside the GLC, to provide a diesel variant. For those in the market for a petrol SUV within the Rs. 60 to Rs. 70 lakh range, the X3 is a compelling choice. It boasts a chic design, an impressive array of features and technology, and delivers robust performance and handling. It's undoubtedly a contender worth considering.
