Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has been on a launch spree and the latest launch from the company is the 2023 CB300R, which is priced at Rs. 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Honda CB300R has received its first price hike since launch and now retails at Rs. 2.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The CB300R is now dearer by Rs. 989, over its launch price of Rs. 2.41 lakh from February this year. The Honda CB300R met with a highly positive response at the time of its launch and was sold out for the next three months since the motorcycle went on sale. The bike comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and interestingly has managed to outsell the locally produced Honda CBR250R.
American Honda Motor Co. has issued a voluntary recall for the CB300R in the US. The recall was filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and states that the affected motorcycles may have gear misalignment owing to the detachment of circlip. A total of 3898 Honda motorcycles have been recalled in the US and includes the 2019 CB300R, 2018 CBR300R, 2018 CRF250L, 2018 CRF250L Rally, and the 2018-2019 CMX300. The recall process began on June 28, 2019 in the country.
