2025 TVS Apache RTR 310

The TVS Apache RTR 310 boasts an aggressive, streetfighter design that immediately grabs attention. The bike features sharp lines, a muscular tank, and a compact tail section, which together create a bold and purposeful aesthetic. The split-seat design, wide handlebars, and bi-colour alloy wheels (a black front wheel and yellow rear wheel) contribute to its unique styling, although some may prefer uniform wheel colors for a more cohesive look.

The LED headlamp is sleek and modern, while the exposed trellis frame and short exhaust enhance its sporty appeal. Although the end-can exhaust could be slimmer, the bike's overall design is appealing, giving it a commanding road presence. The RTR 310 embodies the true essence of a streetfighter, with a design that reflects power, aggression, and agility.

The TVS Apache RTR 310 is powered by a 312 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 35.1 bhp at 9700 rpm and 28.7 Nm of torque at 6650 rpm. This engine is shared with other models like the BMW G 310 R and TVS RR 310, but on the RTR 310, it is tuned for a more street-friendly performance. The bike accelerates swiftly, offering plenty of torque in the low and mid-range, making it ideal for both city riding and spirited weekend rides.

The 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter provides smooth gear transitions, allowing for rapid shifts without using the clutch. This feature adds to the bike’s sporty credentials, making it fun to ride in various conditions. However, the engine does suffer from some vibration issues, especially between 80-90 km/h and 6500-7500 rpm, which can detract from the overall riding experience.

The TVS Apache RTR 310 impresses with its sharp handling and agility. Thanks to its lightweight trellis frame and aluminium subframe, the bike is quick to change direction and feels planted through corners. 

The Michelin Road 5 tires provide excellent grip, further enhancing confidence when riding through twists and turns. The 41 mm USD front forks and monoshock rear suspension are stiff but not uncomfortable, making the bike well-suited for both spirited riding and highway cruising.

The dual-disc braking system with dual-channel ABS ensures strong and predictable stopping power. The ABS can also be switched to SuperMoto mode, which allows the rider to disable the rear ABS for a more engaging ride, especially in track settings. While the brakes offer steady progression, they could benefit from a sharper bite for more immediate response.

The only issue reported during real-world testing was with the throttle response, which at times felt inconsistent. This slight lag can occasionally disrupt the otherwise smooth riding experience, though it doesn’t significantly affect everyday performance

The TVS Apache RTR 310 strikes a good balance between sportiness and comfort. The upright riding position with wide handlebars ensures that the rider isn’t too hunched over, making the bike suitable for both commuting and long-distance rides. The 800 mm seat height is accessible to most riders, though the seat itself is quite compact, limiting movement during longer rides, especially for heavier riders.

The bike’s relatively light 168 kg kerb weight adds to its maneuverability, making it easy to handle in city traffic. The adjustable front and rear suspension also ensure that the ride quality can be tailored to different conditions, adding a layer of versatility to the overall experience.
