Actor and motorcyclist Rohit Roy is the latest of the celebrities to take a premium motorcycle home. The actor took delivery of the Indian Scout Bobber cruiser at a special event in Mumbai, which joins his garage amidst several other exotic vehicles. Speaking to CarAndBike, Roy revealed that he had to let go of his prized and the very rare Honda Rune to make way for the Scout Bobber.
Only 177 of the Jack Daniel's Limited Edition Indian Scout Bobber will be built for the global market, and availability in markets will depend on customer demand.
Three Indian Scout Bobber bikes will be provided for a unique bike build-off, and the competitors will be amateurs only, and no professional builders can participate in this contest. The three custom bikes will be unveiled in July, and the winner will be announced at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The Indian Scout Bobber was rightly crowned as the best-looking two-wheeler at the 2018 NDTV CarandBike awards. The Scout Bobber carries a minimalist design with that rustic charm of a 40s' Bobber motorcycle. There were a lot of worthy competitors such as the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, Suzuki Intruder, BMW R nine T and the Honda Grazia! But the Scout Bobber was adjudged the winner.
The name 'Sixty' in the new Indian Scout Sixty is derived from its engine displacement; so the 999cc v-twin (or 60 cubic inches as the Americans describe it), has made the newest Indian the Scout 'Sixty'.
