The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was first manufactured in the year 2008 for the Indian market. It is one of the most popular subcompact cars and compact sedans in the country and has sold handsomely ever since its launch. The car has 7 petrol variants and can comfortably seat 5 people.
The Dzire offers good boot space of 378 litres and does not have split folding rear seats. The Dzire is a comfortable and spacious car with ample rear space and smooth driving manners for traveling long distances conveniently. However, this type of car is not recommended for off-roading purposes. The Dzire comes with a 1.2 litre four cylinder engine that dishes out 89 BHP and 113 Nm. There are 5-speed manual and automatic transmission options on offer. The Dzire offers excellent mileage of 22 kilometres per liter as well. The Dzire comes packed with features including a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth compatibility and steering mounted controls.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has always been the quintessential success story in the compact sedan segment. It has notched up handsome sales figures for India’s largest carmaker consistently over the years.
The Maruti Dzire sports a refreshing and quite appealing design in its current avatar. There is a taller hexagonal grille with the number plate integrated into the same. The fog lamps get matte black finishes with chrome brackets. The car has a completely different look, especially with its nose. The bumper and grille are brand new and there are LED projector headlights, dual-tone alloy wheels, and LED combination tail lamps as well. The new Dzire is one of the most attractive vehicles in its segment.

Verdict
The new Dzire then is just a great all-round package. It looks nice, especially compared to the older versions, is packed full of gadgets, and gets both manual and AMT option. While it might not be the cheapest offering, it does make for a good middle ground, by offering a capable engine, good fuel efficiency and decent features. Couple that with Maruti’s trusted after-sales service and you have all the important boxed checked.
