Introduction

• Nissan's new MPV for India has been named Gravite and partially unveiled at its global debut on December 18, 2025.
• This B-segment MPV will mark the brand's third model launch in the country after the Magnite and X-Trail.
• Moreover, this MPV launch is crucial to Nissan's renewed focus on the Indian market.
• Built on the CMF-A platform, Nissan's Gravite MPV shares this with the Renault Triber.
• The new MPV is expected to boost Nissan's presence in India, capitalising on the growing demand for MPVs.

Nissan's Gravite's Exterior

• As seen in the spy shots and the silhouettes recently revealed, the Gravite gets a familiar design to the Renault Triber, with proportions also like its stablemate.
• However, Nissan’s version of this MPV will feature a unique fascia as seen from the teaser and latest images.
• This includes a large grille flanked by wraparound headlamps, clamshell bonnet, and a different front bumper.
• Moreover, there will be more Nissan-specific styling changes to differentiate it from its Renault sibling.

Nissan's Gravite's Interior

• Nissan hasn’t revealed images of the Gravite’s cabin yet.
• And despite its compact size, Nissan's B-MPV Gravite will offer flexible seating for up to seven passengers.
• Other equipment and features will be similar to the Nissan Magnite reasonable enough for parts sharing.
• More details on variants, features, and timelines will be announced in January 2026.

Powertrain of the Nissan Gravite MPV

• Nissan’s small MPV Gravite is expected to be powered by the same engine options as the Renault Triber.
• This includes a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine.
• It comes mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.
• It would be interesting to see if Nissan offers the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
• If that happens, we can also expect a CVT to be offered then.
