- Its parallel-twin engine delivers an unhurried, exceptionally smooth and torquey power output.
- An upright position with a revised handlebar and well-cushioned seat makes it suitable for touring.
- It feels stable while cruising at speeds while remaining confidence inspiring around corners.
- Pillion comfort is reasonably good due to the spacious seat and sturdy grab rail.
Cons
- Weighing 243kg, the Bullet 650 can feel cumbersome at low speeds and while parking.
- Rear suspension setup feels noticeably harder than the Bullet 350 over broken roads.
- The LED headlamp does not light up the road appropriately, as expected of a modern bike.
- There are some vibrations at the handlebar and footpegs at higher speeds.
- The tube-type spoke wheels can make puncture repairs inconvenient for touring riders.
Verdict
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 combines the timeless appeal of the Bullet nameplate with the performance from its proven 650cc twin-cylinder platform. It does not try to be the fastest or most advanced motorcycle in its class. It rather focuses on delivering a charming, relaxed, and authentic motorcycling experience; one that is true to the Bullet's heritage.

Nevertheless, one needs to keep in mind that if lighter handling, superior night-time visibility, and the convenience from tubeless tyres are more important, then its alternatives may prove more practical.
