BSA Scrambler 650

Introduction

• BSA Motorcycles India expanded its lineup in 2026 with the launch of the new Scrambler 650.
• It is priced from Rs. 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
• This marks BSA’s second offering in India after the Gold Star 650.
• While they share the same platform, they still adopt a distinct scrambler identity.
• BSA offers the Scrambler 650 in three colour options including Raven Black, Victor Yellow, and Thunder Grey.

Features & Equipment

• The Scrambler 650 stands apart visually with a beak-style mudguard, circular LED headlamp, ribbed bench seat, side panel number boards, and a high-set round tail lamp.
• The upswept exhaust and semi-knobby CEAT tube tyres on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels reinforce its rugged scrambler stance.
• It has a wheelbase of 1,565 mm, a seat height of 820 mm, and a kerb weight of 208 kg.
• On the equipment front, it gets an offset digital instrument cluster, Type A and Type C charging ports on the handlebar, and LED lighting all around.
•  Accessories such as saddle bag mounts, a top rack, engine guard, headlamp grille, bar-end mirrors, and a brace pad are also offered.
•  Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with Brembo calipers and dual-channel ABS as standard.
• Suspension duties are managed by a 41 mm telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers with five-step preload adjustment.

Engine & gearbox

• Mechanically, the Scrambler 650 uses the same 652 cc single-cylinder engine as the Gold Star.
• It produces 45 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
• This mill comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
