The two-level seat of the bike is well fitted and also cushioned. Not only this, but it also complements an upright and comfortable riding position well. The cushioning substance is large enough to give both the rider and the pillion a smooth drive and comfort and is combined with a perfectly fitting seat material. The pillion seat has a 16% larger sitting space, a 26 mm wider hip region and a 5 mm thicker for increased comfort.
The shiny chrome finish enhances the motorcycle's street presence in some areas, which gives it a premium, unique aspect.. With very minimal unevenness, the new LED headlamp delivers great visibility over a wide range. It has a reflector with excellent light projection and separate high and low beam bulbs.

The new FZ-FI model features an air-cooled 4-stroke 149cc SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected "BLUE CORE" engine, which has been fine-tuned to provide even more excellent acceleration from stops and a thrilling feeling while overtaking. The fuel injection system's ignition timing and injection were fully overhauled to provide riders with a good sense of acceleration while maintaining a relaxed, upright riding position.

The Yamaha FZ S V 3.0 is an excellent motorcycle for commuting within the city. It is ergonomically balanced and the engine has lots of zeal. Torque offered is ample and the refinement level is commendable with a decent mileage figire. To top it off, Yamaha's reliability is an added bonus. However, it misses out on basic features available with its rivals, and also lacks character in its design. Overall built quality could've been improved.
