BMW F 450 GS

Introduction

• BMW Motorrad India launched the F 450 GS in India in April 2026.
• It is a new entry-level adventure motorcycle, with prices starting at Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
• The F 450 GS effectively replaces the G 310 GS that was discontinued last year.
• It is manufactured at TVS’ Hosur plant near Bangalore.
• TVS is offering it in three variants — Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy.
• This new ADV draws design inspiration from the flagship R 1300 GS.
• It has similar styling elements most notably with the LED headlamp and quad-LED DRLs integrated into a prominent beak.

Features & Equipment

• The F 450 GS comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display featuring Bluetooth connectivity, cornering traction control, ABS, and Dynamic Brake Control as standard.
• The base variant offers three riding modes — Rain, Road, and Enduro — with a bi-directional quickshifter available as an option.
• The Exclusive and GS Trophy variants add an extra Enduro Pro mode, while the GS Trophy gets adjustable suspension and BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch system for smoother low-speed control.
• In terms of cycle parts, the motorcycle runs on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup.
• There's a USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear.
• On the other hand, the GS Trophy variant gets a more rugged setup.
• There are wire-spoke wheels shod with tubeless tyres, suited for off-road use.

Engine & Gearbox

• Powering the F 450 GS is a new 420 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 48bhp and 43 Nm of torque.
• It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
• The setup balances on-road refinement with off-road capability, positioning the F 450 GS as a versatile option for both touring and trail riding in the mid-capacity ADV segment.
