Hero XPulse 200 4V vs Suzuki V-Strom SX 250: Which bike is better for touring and adventure rides?

The Suzuki V-Strom SX is the stronger tourer, with a bigger 249cc engine and easier highway cruising. The Hero XPulse 200 4V costs much less and is far more capable once the tarmac ends. Tour mostly on highways and the V-Strom makes sense; mix in trails and the XPulse is the better companion.
