Introduction

Starting at an ex-showroom price of 70,799, the Honda Livo comes in two variants: Drum BS VI and Disc BS VI. Packed with modern tech features, the bike sports 4 attractive colour options: Athletic Blue Metallic, Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey. All the colour options are available for both the Honda Livo variants. With a fuel tank capacity of 8.5 litre, the bike features a 4-speed gearbox.

How is the design?

It is undeniable that the design of Honda Livo is a work of art. Apparently, the features of the Honda Livo give the bike a youthful appeal. Additionally, the bike also features a bikini fairing along with a smart body panel. The kerb weight of the bike measures around 115 Kg. The length, height and width of the Honda Livo measures 2020mm, 1116mm, 751mm, respectively. Besides all the other features, the bike comes with 1278mm alloy wheels. With a seat height of 1790mm, the ground clearance is measured to be around 163mm. The diamond chassis of the bike makes it appear to be even demanding, and telescopic fork suspension can be seen at the front. The rear suspension of the bike, on the other hand, is hydraulic. The halogen bulb taillight and headlight along with tubeless tyres are some of the other features of the bike. The bike features a 4-speed gearbox, and a multi-plate clutch as well.

How is the performance?

Powered by a 4-stroke, Air-Cooled, SI, BS VI 109.5cc engine. The engine has the capacity to churn out a maximum power of 8.79 PS at 7.500rpm, and it is able to produce a peak torque of 9.30Nm at 5,500rpm. The ignition control system of the Honda delivers excellent performance. As a matter of fact, the Honda Livo comes with a HICS in this segment. To guarantee more safety to the riders, the service due indicator and the combi brake system has been integrated in the bike.  For its front and rear, telescopic forks and mono-shock absorbers have been used in the bike to improve tis on-road performance. Furthermore, the Eco-technology used in the bike has the capacity to reduce friction among the moving parts of its engine.

How does the Honda Livo ride?

Thanks to the refinement of the engine, the Honda Livo comes with a muted idle and exhaust note, which is almost undetectable. With the HET (Honda Eco Technology), it is expected that the Livo would be able to return a fuel economy of 74 Km/L over a combined cycle, making it one of the most fuel-efficient motorbikes in this segment. The gear ratios of the bike have been smartly spaced and the good low-end torque make the Honda Livo feel alive in the traffic. The heel and toe slick gear-shifter gets an all down pattern, and it is mated with the light clutch, which is easy to use. The suspension setup is on the softer side, making the Honda Livo an ideal ride for urban environments.

How comfortable is the Honda Livo?

The Honda Livo has been designed and developed for the purpose of daily commuting, and therefore, comfort matters. From comfortable seats to the handling capacity, the bike delivers an overall feeling of comfort. The disc brakes used in the bike for bumpers offers the rider a comfortable and excellent on road-experience. The long, well-cushioned, single seat of the bike is yet another feature to be considered. The seat has adequate space to accommodate adult riders comfortably. Coming to the suspension setup, it has the capacity to absorb potholes and bumps, to the expectation of the users. Once it goes above 65 Kmph, the rider can feel vibrations, which to some extent affects the smoothness on long roads and highways.

Based on the analysis of the other motorbikes competing in the same segment, it can be said that the Honda Livo is the most affordable bike. Furthermore, it comes with more fuel economy than most of its rivals. Undeniably, it is a value for money for customers looking for an affordable vehicle for daily commuting.

Pros

  • Decent looks
  • Decent performance
  • Decent features

Cons

  • Stiff ride quality
  • Expensive when compared to rivals
  • Low ground clearance

Verdict

The Honda Livo 110 is yet another 110 cc commuter motorcycle from Honda and while it is a decent bike, it is getting a little long in the tooth and has old design. It has a slightly stiff ride, which may not be likeable to all. The motorcycle hasn't been updated in a while and lacks modern features that are available on other rivals models. The Livo 110 continues to bring in decent volumes for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, from rural and semi-urban areas.

I am using this bike sinse October 2015. I really lost my money. More pick up with less control. Very uncontrollable body structure and very bad in speed. After speed of 50 - 60 km/h. It will vibrate like hell. Mileage is little satisfied but for only mileage we can not say it is a good bike.
