Kia Seltos

Introduction

• Kia India globally revealed the new Seltos on 10 December, 2025.
• Its official launch happened on 2 January, 2026 with the prices starting at Rs. 10.99 lakh.
• The unveil in India confirmed three new exterior colours for the second-gen SUV.
• Apart from that, the Seltos gets many cosmetic enhancements and a few new features.
• There are no changes to the engine and gearbox options though.
• It continues to be offered in the existing variants line-up including HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX, and the range topping X Line.
• The Seltos' new rival is the new Tata Sierra with both vehicles being the latest launches in India.
• That said, the Seltos will continue to face competition from the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara,
• Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun.

2026 Kia Seltos - Exterior

• The latest iteration of the Seltos is bigger than the outgoing model in every aspect.
• While the length has increased to 4.46m from 4.36m, even the wheelbase has extended to 2,690mm, an 80mm increase over the previous model.
• As for the cosmetic changes, the Seltos boasts a comprehensively revised front end.
• The tweaks include a new grille, updated headlamp clusters with DRLs, prominent bonnet lines, and a reworked bumper with silver accents.
• On to the side, the SUV rides on a fresh set of alloy wheels.
• Further enhancements to the side profile include flush-fitting door handles, roof rails, blacked-out wheel arches, and an extended rear spoiler.
• At the back, the new Seltos sports a redesigned tailgate, new L-shaped LED taillamps, spoiler-integrated high-mounted stop lamp, and a revised bumper.

2026 Kia Seltos - Interior

• The 2026 Kia Seltos shares its cabin with the latest Carens Clavis, featuring similar colour schemes and layout.
• Some highlights include a new centre console, dual 12.3-inch displays, three-spoke steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
• It gets second-row seats with 60:40 split on top variants along with a reclining function for added comfort.
• The boot space is 447litres and for added convenience, it even gets a power-operated tailgate.
• Then, there's a dual-zone climate control, Bose sound system, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, HUD, connected car tech, ambient lighting, and full-LED lights.
• Moreover, safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, hill-start assist, and ADAS.

2026 Kia Seltos - Powertrain

• This Kia New Seltos is offered with three powertrain options exactly like its predecessor.
• There's an entry-level 1.5-litre NA petrol engine producing 113bhp and 144Nm of torque (transmission six-speed MT/CVT).
• Kia is still offering the more desirable 1.5-litre GDi petrol unit, belting out 158bhp, 253Nm (transmission six-speed MT/seven-speed DCT).
• On the other hand, the diesel will continue to be the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre unit producing 118bhp and 260Nm (transmission six-speed MT, six-speed AT).
• Though a hybrid model was expected to be introduced, the plan will be realised only after localising this powertrain.
