Mahindra Verito

Known for producing utility vehicles, Mahindra tapped into the sedan segment with Verito, earlier named Logan. The sedan has witnessed several changes over the years in a bid to improve in terms of looks to sustain cut-throat competition in the segment. Rugged looks, spacious cabin and a reliable diesel engine make Verito a dependable sedan.

Priced affordably between Rs 7.27 lakh to Rs 8.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the muscular sedan was previously sold under the Logan nameplate. Verito was initially available in petrol and diesel fuel options, but currently it plonks a 1.5 litre, four cylinder engine good for 64bhp and 160Nm. There is ample space for occupants to be seated comfortably inside. Renewed styling, new dashboard and additional features add more comfort to the interior. 

Mahindra Verito Exterior 

The boxy contours and rugged styling compliment the masculine character of the sedan. Chrome finished grille sits in front and the large headlamps are equipped on the edge of the bonnet. Bumper gets large air intakes and fog lamps. Side profile is basic sporting blackened pillars and flared wheel arches. Rear section is basic too with chrome garnish on the tail gate. 

Mahindra Verito Interior 

Cabin is roomy with comfortable space for passengers in front and rear. The dual tone beige and black interior colour scheme looks upmarket. Rear seat offers good thigh support and leg space. There are multiple storage points inside and ample cargo space for storing luggage. 

Mahindra Verito Engine Specifications & Transmission

Power comes from the 1.5 litre, four cylinder, CRDi engine tuned to develop 64bhp at 4000rpm and 160Nm of torque at 2000rpm. 

Mahindra Verito Features

Face sports chrome finished grille and clear lens fog lamps. Side panels get alloy wheels and side moulding. Inside, it gets tachometer, LCD display on instrument cluster, fabric upholstery, mobile holder and bottle holder etc.

Powered by the 1.5 litre diesel unit, fuel economy returned by the rugged sedan is rated at 20.8km/l by ARAI.

A 2 DIN music system with CD player, MP3 player, USB slot, Aux-In, tuner and four speakers is equipped in the cabin.

The sedan draws stopping power from disc brakes at front and drum units at rear axle. 

Mahindra Verito Safety & Security

Primary safety provisions including driver side airbag and ABS with EBD are standard on the top-spec variant. Other safety equipment armed in the sedan are-adjustable head rests in front and rear, immobilizer and electrical rear window child lock. 

Mahindra Verito Comfort & Convenience

A bunch of comfort goodies are packed inside. It gets air-conditioner with cabin heater, theatre dimming interior lights with courtesy delay, power steering, power windows, rear defogger, remote door locking and central locking. 

Mahindra Verito Wheels & Tyres

Basic variant in the range equips hub caps whereas middle variant gets full wheel covers. Alloy wheels are available only on the top end trim.
