Bajaj Cars Under 5 Lakh in India

Bajaj Auto is looking to raise prices of its two models - Platina and Discover - from next month in order to partially offset increase in input costs. The Pune-based company had earlier raised prices of its Pulsar model range by Rs 1,000 at the end of festival season this year.

A new category of small vehicles - Quadricycles, has been approved by the Indian government and in particular the Ministry Of Road Transport and Highways. The government has made no indication as to what GST rate will be applied to register these vehicles or whether they will have special registration plates like the new green plates on electric vehicles.

Just a few weeks ago, Bajaj and Triumph shocked the Indian motorcycling world by announcing a joint partnership in order to develop new motorcycles in the mid-capacity or 250-500 cc range. These new bikes will be built by Bajaj and will be badged Triumph giving both two wheeler manufacturers an advantage. The month of September 2016 brought cheers for two wheeler manufacturers such as Royal Enfield and Yamaha who showed a growth of 30 per cent and 33 per cent respectively in comparison to September 2015. After a long wait, Bajaj has finally launched the RS200. The bike will be available in two versions Non ABS and ABS and will be priced at Rs. 1,18500 and 1,30269 respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).
