Mahindra aims to use Volkswagen Group's MEB electric components such as electric motors, battery system components and battery cells to develop its next-gen Born Electric Vision (BEV) platform, which will spawn a range of new EVs.

The new JV will utilise Okinawa's manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan to develop the electric products for India as well as global markets.

These charging stations will be managed by Magenta under the ChargeGrid platform and will provide charging facility for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers in a common location.

The upcoming Kia EV6 is expected to arrive in RWD and AWD variants with the former promising a range of 528 km and the latter offering 425 km on a single charge. Both variants will be powered by the same 77.4 kWh battery pack.
