F1: Lewis Hamilton Extends Contract With Mercedes Until The End Of 2020

Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton's future with Mercedes-AMG has long been speculated but the driver has decided to continue with the championship-winning team. The British driver has signed a two-year contract with the Mercedes keeping him with the team until the end of 2020. There was little clarity on Hamilton's plans for next year with his current contract with Mercedes ending at the end of this season.

This is for the first time an all-girls team has built the race car in the country and are competing for the first time on an international level.

  Formula E: Lucas di Grassi Wins New York ePrix As Jules Verge Crowned 2018 World Champion

  Audi's Lucas di Grassi sealed a win in the penultimate race of the season at the New York ePrix, but it was Techeetah's Jean-Eric Vergne who has been crowned as the world champion for the 2018 Formula E world championship. The Frenchman sealed the crown for this season after starting at the back of the grid after being excluded from qualifying, but worked his his to finish the race in fifth place. Lucas di Grassi, started in 11th place but climbed to the top spot ahead of teammate Daniel Abt, and Sebastien Buemi of Renault e.Dams in third place.

  Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team has announced Indian rally rider Aishwarya Pissay will be joining the team for the Baja Aragon rally later this year. The Baja Aragon rally scheduled between July 20-22, 2018, in Teruel, Spain, marks the international rally debut of Pissay in the sport. The 22-year-old racer racer will be joining a four member squad comprising brothers Adrien Metge and Michael Metge from France, as well as Spaniard Lorenzo Santolino.

  Dani Pedrosa Announces Retirement From MotoGP

  One of the most successful riders on the grid, Dani Pedrosa has announced his retirement from MotoGP at the end of this season. The announcement marks the end of an 18-year career for the Spaniard, 12 years of which were spent in the premier class of the championship. The Spaniard announced his exit from the sport ahead of the German Grand Prix later this week. The decision does come quite contrary to speculations that the 32-year-old would move to a satellite team next year following his exit from the Repsol Honda MotoGP team at the end of 2018.
