F1 2017: Hamilton Wins US GP As Mercedes Wins Constructors Championship

Lewis Hamilton took a step closer to the 2017 world championship title having won the Formula One US Grand Prix in Austin this weekend. The Briton beat Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, inching closer to what will be his fourth world championship. Team Mercedes-AMG Petronas sealed the Constructors' championship for 2017 with 575 points as against Ferrari's 428, taking home the win for the fourth consecutive year.

The current record of 8 mins 13.878 seconds was established in 2013 by none other than legendary rally driver Sebastian Loeb in a purpose built Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak which featured outlandish wings to add to the aero downforce.
