Piaggio's Aprilia SR 150 has earned a reputation of being a fun 150 cc scooter in the market and the model is all set to be updated with ABS in January 2019. The Aprilia SR 150 ABS will start arriving at dealerships starting next year and bookings are already open for the updated model. The Aprilia SR 150 willl now come the single-channel ABS system with prices starting at Rs. 82,000 for the standard version, while the SR 150 Carbon is priced at Rs. 83,000. The range-topping Aprilia SR 150 Race is priced at Rs. 88,000 (all prices, ex-showroom). That's a hike of almost 10,000 over the non-ABS versions. Earlier this year, Piaggio had introduced the refreshed versions of the Aprilia SR 150 and the Vespa range in the country with new connectivity features and colour options.

Royal Enfield is getting ready to launch its first Scrambler model, and it's based on the Royal Enfield Classic 500. But there could be a Royal Enfield 650 Scrambler in the works as well.

Royal Enfield has been updating its line-up with Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) since August this year, ahead of the April 2019 deadline. Joining its line-up of ABS equipped models is the Classic 350 Redditch Edition that now gets the safety feature. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch Edition ABS is priced at Rs. 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it about Rs. 6000 more expensive than the non-ABS version. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS was introduced last month priced at Rs. 1.63 lakh and followed up with the launch of the Thunderbird 500X ABS priced at Rs. 2.13 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

The air quality levels have worsened in the national capital region for the fourth consecutive day and the alarming situation could prompt the return of the odd-even car scheme. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was recently quoted by new agency ANI as saying, "If the need arises, we will soon implement the odd-even scheme in the capital." Delhi's air pollution levels have been on the rise ever since Diwali last month and the recent temperature drop has only worsened the condition further. The odd-even car scheme, much like last time, will aim to reduce the vehicle footprint on roads in a bid to curb air pollution.

After soaring to the highest peaks in the past few months, petrol and diesel prices finally neutralised in the recent weeks and today have dropped down to the lowest in the past eight months. Ending the year on a cheerful note on December 25, petrol was priced at Rs. 69.79 per litre in Delhi dropping by a further 20 paise, the lowest it has been this year. In Mumbai, petrol today is priced at Rs. 75.41 per litre, while prices in Chennai and Kolkata stand at Rs. 72.41 and Rs. 71.89 per litre respectively.
