Why is the Suzuki Hayabusa called the Hayabusa?

"Hayabusa" is the Japanese word for the Peregrine Falcon, one of the fastest birds in the world. Suzuki chose the name because the falcon can exceed 300 kmph during its hunting dive and because its natural prey is the Blackbird, referencing Honda's CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, which the original Hayabusa succeeded as the world's fastest production motorcycle.
