Toyota Innova Expert Review
Toyota Innova
Toyota is a firm that is well-versed in the art of automobile manufacturing. Toyota has always been a frontrunner in the design and engineering of automobiles. However, the Toyota Innova is a whole different thing to many people. The Toyota Innova was the company’s first attempt to break into theSUV market when it was released in 2005. And even now, it’s still many people’s go-to choice regarding Toyota models. The Innova is a pleasant vehicle to ride in and is simple to use. Although it lacks the sportiness of some of Toyota’s other models, it drives smoothly and is simple to parallel park. In addition, the mileage is really good, particularly for such a vehicle.
How is the Design?
Over the past ten years, Toyota has refined the look of the Innova, transforming it from a plain boxy people carrier into an SUVwith a more modern appearance. The current model’s front fascia incorporates a three-slat hexagonal chrome grille that is surrounded by a thick chrome surround. On the flanks, angular headlamps have been installed, the bottom side of the bumper has been designed with vertical air vents, and fog lamps have been meticulously set on the chrome-finished fog lamp housings. There is a noticeable gap between the wheel arches and the wheels, and the wheels themselves appear smaller in comparison to the rest of the body resting on it. The outer rear view mirrors define the side profile. The rear design may not seem appealing, and the tail lamps are set vertically, making them look slightly old-fashioned. There is an integrated spoiler on the very top, and the bottom bumper has reflectors attached to it.
How does it perform?
A 2.4-litre diesel/petrolengine is housed beneath the vehicle’s hood. It can produce a maximum power output of 147 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 245 Nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel engine is connected to a manual transmission with five gear ratios, and this configuration transfers power from the engine to the wheels.
How’s the Mileage?
The Innova offers between 11-16 kmpl mileage combined. The manual diesel variant has a higher mileage than the petrol engine variant.
How’s the Driving Experience?
The Toyota Innova is an excellent vehicle for both the driver and the passengers. The drive is comfortable, the controls are simple to operate, and the vehicle has responsive steering on the road. The Innova is another option worth considering due to its pleasant cabin as well as its good efficiency when it comes to fuel consumption. If you are in the market for a dependable new vehicle, you should put the Toyota Innova at the top of your shopping list.Driving the Toyota Innova is one of the most comfortable experiences you can have in a car. The seats are very roomy and provide great support for lengthy drives. Additionally, Innova’s engines provide great power and torque, making it easy to get up and going. Finally, the Innova’s design screams luxury, making it an excellent choice for drivers who want a car that looks good and feels even better to drive.
How’s its Off-road Capability?
It is common knowledge that the Toyota Innova can perform well off-road. The Innova was developed to be adaptable and capable of operating in several different environments. The Toyota Innova has been put through rigorous testing on various off-road courses, and the results have shown that it is a capable vehicle. When behind the wheel of an Innova, you can look forward to a pleasurable ride no matter the surface you’re travelling on. Toyota’s Innova is a popular car for those who enjoy off-roading. It has a robust 4x4 system that can handle most terrain with ease. The Innova also has all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning and comfortable seating.
The Innova’s capability to navigate challenging terrain is one of the vehicle’s most significant advantages. This was taken into consideration during the construction of the suspension system, and as a result, it performs admirably in most environments. When they are put to use, the brakes can quickly bring the vehicle to a stop. When it comes to driving on off-road trails, the whole experience provided by Innova is satisfying.
What’s the Interior like?
When we think about vehicles that can accommodate seven passengers in luxury, the Toyota Innova is undoubtedly the first vehicle that comes to mind. Although it has been driving around on our roads since 2005, it never ceases to amaze us how well it performs.Because the Innova may be configured to have seven or eight seats, there is plenty of room within the passenger compartment for all of the people who will be riding in it. The front row is outfitted with individual chairs that have a sliding mechanism. The second row contains captain’s seats that may be slid, and the third row has bench seating. The reclining feature is included on every seat in the cabin.
Tech and Infotainment
The Toyota Innova is a recently introduced model in the Indian market. It is feature-rich and provides excellent value for the money it costs to purchase it. The Toyota Innova rides on a completely redesigned platform conceived and built in-house by Toyota. The new platform is supposed to improve ride quality, handling, and fuel economy.
The Toyota Innova may be personalised in various ways, thanks to the abundance of available accessories. Owners have access to four different kits, which are referred to as Prestige, Style, Luxury, and Comfort. The prestige kit includes a muffler cutter, wheel arc moulding, rear license plate garnish, bumper corner protector with chrome, chrome door housing, and chrome lid/rear door garnish. The kit also comes with a cover for outside rear view mirrors, including turn indicators, a side turn lamp cover, and chrome. The style package includes a rear spoiler, a pedal set with a manual shifter, side skirts, a side visor, a front bumper spoiler, a rear bumper spoiler, six-spoke alloy wheels measuring 15 inches, and body graphics. The Luxury Pack is mostly concerned with the interior of the vehicle, except for a fitting kit for the front fog lamps. The vehicle’s inside can be upgraded to have seat covers made of leather, faux leather, or fabric if the luxury pack is purchased. Wooden panels are an option for customers who want to freshen up the look of their vehicles, and buyers may choose between a leather or wooden finish for the gear shift knob. The highest-end trim levels come equipped with standard features for playing music, such as a 2DIN audio system with an LCD display, a DVD player, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX-In ports, as well as a touchscreen and remote control. In trims that have an audio system, there are six speakers built in, and the steering wheel has controls for the music system, the MID, and Bluetooth phone controls located on it.
Safety Equipment
Even though the Toyota Innova is a safe automobile, it is critical for every driver to wear their seatbelt and other safety gear at all times. Therefore, in every model, dual front airbags are standard, and in addition to this, the vehicle has an immobiliser.
Which variant to buy?
The newly designed Innova is offered in six distinct variants: the Innova V AT, the Innova G AT, the Innova G MT, the Innova E DSL AT, and the Innova J MT. The Innova’s top-tier trim comes standard with alloy wheels of 17 inches in diameter, while the G and E models have wheels measuring 16 inches in diameter instead. On the other hand, the standard model has steel wheels that measure 16 inches in diameter. Additionally, the all-new Innova comes equipped with cutting-edge innovations that improve the level of convenience and comfort enjoyed by both the driver and the passengers.
Which Cars Compete in this Segment?
The Maruti Ertiga is the only SUV that has provideda meaningful challenge to the Toyota Innova, which has been the market leader in the SUV sector for more than a decade. In addition to the Ertiga, Innova competes against the Honda Mobilio and the Renault Lodgy. The leading competitors for the redesigned Toyota Innova Facelift include the Mahindra Marazzo, the MG Hector, the Mahindra XUV500 and the Mahindra XUV700, the Hyundai Alcazar, and the BYD Auto E6 Electric.
Verdict (Value for Money?)
The Toyota Innova is an excellent vehicle for the price that it sells. In addition, it is dependable and has reasonable fuel consumption. The main drawback is that it is not as powerful as some of the other options that are now available on the market, yet, it is still capable of completing the task at hand. Therefore, the Toyota Innova is a very good buy for the money.
The Innova has a dependable motorand a roomy cabin and requires little maintenance. Moreover, even after three years of ownership, the resale value of this SUV is an unbelievable nearly 90% of its initial value. Therefore, choosing a Toyota Innova can never go wrong.
