The Evolet Derby is a low speed electric scooter and is available in two variants – EZ, with a lead acid battery, and Classic, with a lithium ion battery. The ICAT certified Derby is powered by a 250 watt BLDC electric motor. The Derby EZ with VRLA battery (lead acid) takes 8-9 hours to be fully charged and has a range of 90-120 kms. Derby Classic with a lithium ion battery, has a charging time of 3-4 hours, and has a maximum range of 90-120 km. The Derby features a spacious seat and also comes with full-digital speedometer, as well as electronic assisted braking system and optional IOT features. As far as low-speed electric scooters go, the Evolet Derby is a decent option.

The Honda Dio is the most exported scooter from Honda to other markets. It is a stylish 110 cc that serves as a nice alternative to the Activa. The Dio lacks features and has an average build quality. But it makes up in the styling department, with fancy colours, cool graphics and sporty performance. The Dio could be the ideal scooter for college-goers and young professionals. The ownership cost is very close to that of the Honda Activa.
