Verdict
Now discontinued, the Springfield was one of the large cruiser Indian sold here. This motorcycle has been developed for long distance touring and this is why the V-Twin thunderstroke engine has excellent torque spread. The seats are extremely comfortable and the presence of large windscreen makes sure the rider isn’t a victim of heavy crosswinds. But the brand lacks the reach in India. Plus, it doesn’t have much sales and service reach.

The BMW K 1600 GTL is a perfecetly balanced, if big, touring machine with an incredibly smooth inline six-cylinder engine. The K 1600 GTL has everything going for it, solid road presence, comfortable ergonomics and ride, a brilliant engine and solid brakes. The only downside is the price and the lack of some new-age electronics and features.
