    Okinawa i-Praise Receives 450 Bookings Ahead Of Launch This Month
    Gurugram-based electric two-wheeler maker Okinawa Autotech has announced that it had received 450 bookings for the upcoming Okinawa i-Praise electric scooter. The company has bagged the number of bookings in just 15 days with a strong demand from Tier II and Tier III cities. Bookings for the i-Praise commenced last month across the company's 200-odd dealerships pan India. Okinawa has received bookings from Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Nasik, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Ambala, Vishakhapatnam, as well as Mysore, Bulandshahar, Gorakhpur, Warangal, Trichy, Trissur among other cities. The new Okinawa i-Praise is scheduled to go on sale later this month and will come with a detachable lithium-ion battery as one of its major feature highlights.

    Electric Car Charging Infrastructure And Guidelines Announced By Government
    The Indian Government has finally announced a policy for the rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In an official document that was sent out by the Ministry Of Power on December 14, 2018, the government has outlined several key facts, figures and a plan to support the expansion of electric vehicles in the country. The push for electric mobility charging stations will first be rolled out in cities with a population of greater than 4 million residents i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Surat and Pune. The rollout means that after much waiting and uncertainty, India will finally have public electric charging stations as a reality rather than just a pipe dream.

    Electric two-wheeler maker Okinawa Scooters has announced the pre-bookings for its upcoming i-Praise e-scooter. The new Okinawa i-Praise can be booked at a token amount of Rs. 5000 at any of the company's 200-odd dealerships starting on December 14, 2018. The i-Praise is the manufacturer's new version based on the Okinawa Praise scooter and now comes with a detachable lithium-ion battery. Okinawa says the new battery system brings more convenience for users who can now detach and charge the battery at their homes, with the charging time reduced to 2-3 hours.

    Sun Mobility and Smart E have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a new EV battery swapping system. Earlier this year, Sun mobility had showcased the interoperable smart mobility solution for two and three wheelers. SmartE's fleet of electric three-wheelers will make use of SUN Mobility's solution and will be deployed at SmartE park & charge Hubs across the Delhi-NCR, to cater to the first and last-mile connectivity services. The month-long field trials for this solution concluded in Gurugram last week and is claimed to be successfully. The partnership will see SUN Mobility scaling the battery swapping infrastructure in next 3 months to support 500 electric three-wheelers in Phase 1
