Tanveer qualified for the Merzouga Rally after winning the Dakar Challenge, coming third at the India Baja organised in April 2017. The six-day Merzouga Rally is considered a stepping stone to the big one - the Dakar Rally. All the finishers at the Merzouga Rally will get the assurance of being able to enter the 2018 Dakar Rally.
