The sub-500 cc offerings of BMW Motorrad - BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS got the liaons share with over 80 per cent sales. The recently launched BMW R 1250 GS and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure have also created high demand among motorcycling enthusiasts.

Volvo Cars India has witnessed a growth of 25 per cent in the last fiscal year. The company sold 2687 units of passenger vehicles in FY2018-19 against 2157 units which it sold in the previous year. According to the company, the growth was largely driven by the XC40 compact luxury SUV which is the most affordable Volvo sold in India at present and was launched last year. The Volvo XC40 was also awarded the Premium Car Of The Year in the Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) awards.

The Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle range remains one of the more popular sporty offerings in the country and has been a best-seller for the bike maker over the years. In March 2019 though, the bike range achieved a new high with sales for the Pulsar line-up crossing the one lakh sales milestone in a single month. This is for the first time that the Bajaj Pulsar bikes have crossed the milestone in the domestic market, while monthly volumes on average have been around 45,000-60,000 units. Compared to March 2018, sales for the Pulsar series helped Bajaj grow by 39 per cent year-on-year.

TVS has sold over 1 lakh units of the Radeon, in just seven months since its launch. It is the company's newest 110 cc commuter motorcycle.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has witnessed a slowdown in sales in the last fiscal year. The company has recorded a negative growth of 6.45 per cent in the fiscal year 2018-19 selling 55,20,000 units against 59,00,840 units which it sold in the previous fiscal year. However, the company has recovered some volumes overall from exports which in the same fiscal year was at its all-time high at 3,80,041 units. The company has attributed the slowdown in sales to the second half of the financial year where sales were weak to the extent that it wiped-off the growth that the company recorded in the first six months.

Tata Motors has released the official sales report for the Financial Year 2018-19, during which the company grew by 16 per cent.

Royal Enfield sold 60,831 motorcycles in March 2019, against the sales of 76,087 motorcycles over the same period last year.

TVS Motor Company's total two-wheeler sales were 310,901 units in March 2019 as opposed to 326,667 units in March 2018, which is a decrease of 1.54 per cent. The company's domestic sales fell by 6.59 per cent as TVS sold 247,710 units as against 265,174 units in March 2018.
