A low demand for vehicles since the start of the year has pushed Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, to reduce vehicle production. The company cut production for its cars by 8.3 per cent in February this year churning out 148,959 units including the Super Carry LCV, as opposed to the 162,524 units produced during the same month last year. Production for popular selling cars including the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Dzire, and the Vitara Brezza stood at 147,550 units last month, a decline of 8.4 per cent over 161,116 units in February 2018.

Honda added 50 lakh customers in the region in just nine years, spanning 2010 to 2019. The Honda Activa is one of the largest selling two-wheelers in the country right now.

Porsche's operating profit grew by around 4 per cent in the 2018-19 financial year compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching 4.3 billion Euros.

Tata Motors today released its global wholesale numbers for the month of February 2019. During last month, the company's total global wholesale numbers, including commercial vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover sales, stood at 110,262 units.

The Korean carmaker's cumulative sales (domestic + exports) went down by 1.6 per cent selling a total of 54,518 units.

Overall sales have still to come anywhere close to the one lakh mark, but well-rounded products and customer trust has seen sales grow by 27 per cent in February 2019.

Motorcycle sales continue showing positive growth, but scooter sales displayed a slowdown in February 2019.

Tata Motors is giving the growth credit to its new generation vehicles and has said that the recently launched Tata Harrier has received good demand.
