TVS had solid growth in the three-wheeler segment where it sold 11,377 units in April 2018, registering a growth of 114.5. per cent over April 2017.

The strong and growing response to the new generation Verna as also the updated i20 have helped Hyundai achieved this growth and in fact along with the Creta and Grand i10, the cars contributed to 79 per cent of the total sales.

Tata Motors today announced registering a growth of 34 per cent in passenger vehicle sales with 17,235 units as against 12,827 units sold during the same month last year. The company attributed its growth in the domestic market to the strong momentum of its popular hatchback Tiago and the new subcompact SUV Nexon.

In the passenger vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) the company sold 21,927 vehicles, a growth of 13 per cent while in the commercial vehicle segment, the company sold 18,963 vehicles, registering a 26 per cent growth.

Honda 2Wheelers has reported registering the highest ever sales record on a single day, on Akshay Tritiya. Honda says that its single-day retail sales grew by more than 80 per cent, with the company breaching the highest ever mark for the first time ever on this auspicious day.

Sonalika has recorded a robust growth of 56 per cent in the Q4 FY'18, surpassing the industry growth.

Mahindra sold 3.04 lakh units in FY18 in the domestic market and 3.19 lakh units including the domestic market and exports in FY18.

A report by ICRA says that the two-wheeler segment in India has seen robust growth in sales volumes for FY2018. It is the highest since FY2011.
