    Hero Electric Is Offering Old Petrol Two-Wheeler Owners An Exchange Bonus Of Rs. 6000 To Switch To Electric Bikes
    In a bid to promote electric mobility in the country, Hero Electric has announced a unique initiative for customers to switch from old petrol-powered two-wheelers to electric bikes. The manufacturer is offering flat Rs. 6000 over and above the market value of these old petrol two-wheelers that are either unsaleable or are at the end of their lifecycle and moving to the scrap yard. Hero says that these vehicles manage to consume twice as much as petrol for the same distance than a BS4 compliant vehicle, which makes them heavy contributors to the pollution crisis across our cities. The company states that at least five crore very old and polluting petrol two-wheelers are currently plying on Indian roads.

    The Suzuki Access 125 has received a new entry-level variant equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS) and drum brakes. The new Suzuki Access 125 CBS drum brake version is priced at Rs. 56,667 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it about Rs. 690 more expensive than the non-CBS version. The safety feature, which aids in more effective braking will soon be a standard feature on all two-wheelers below 125 cc, and that's why this will be the new entry-level version on the Access starting from April 2019. Meanwhile, the non-CBS drum brake version is still available for sale priced at Rs. 55,977 (ex-showroom) and is likely to remain that way till stocks last.

    TVS Scooter Sales Stagnate As Motorcycle Sales Grow By 13 Per Cent In January 2019
    Hosur-based two-wheeler giant, TVS Motor Company announced a growth of 4 per cent in sales for the period of January 2019. The manufacturer sold 282,630 units last month, up from 271,801 units that were sold in January 2018. With respect to two-wheeler sales, TVS clocked a sale of 269,277 units in January 2019, growing by two per cent as against 262,995 units sold during the same month last year. Domestic sales for two-wheelers stood at 228,654 units in January this year over 226,992 units sold in January 2018.
