First unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the Volkswagen Passat followed the design language of the new age cars from VW. The wide stance and the sharper design made it look better than before. Though the car shares its underpinnings with the Skoda Superb, both cars look worlds apart.

The 2020 Volkswagen Passat facelift was recently spotted undergoing testing in India, sans camouflage. First showcased at the Detroit Auto Show early this year in January, the new 2020 Passat has been caught testing in India for the first time.

With the all-new Passat Connect, Volkswagen aims to further transform and enhance the customer driving experience. The Volkswagen Connect will empower our customers to manage a host of services such as driving behavior analysis, trip tracking, fuel cost monitoring, and other convenient features available on their fingertips.

In terms of design, the Passat facelift will most likely be inspired by the Arteon sedan.

The Passat is Volkswagen's second major launch this year after the Tiguan SUV and shows that the company is not afraid to enter premium segments though the sales in these segments have suffered in India post the introduction of GST. The Passat is based on the same MQB platform as the Tiguan and local assembly of the car has already begun in India.
