Pros Cons of Revolt RVX

Pros

  • The 4kW motor hits 5.3 kW peak output, 230 Nm and the newly added Boost Mode allow for a quicker 0-40 kmph run in 3.9 seconds.
  • A removable 3.24 kWh NMC battery pack delivers a highly usable, commuter-friendly 160 km IDC-certified range per charge.
  • Equipped with fast-charging capabilities, the battery can charge from 0-80 per cent in just 80 minutes.
  • Inverted USD front forks and a rear monoshock help provide better dynamics over varying roads.
  • A revamped 3.5-inch IP67 display integrates Bluetooth connectivity, over-the-air updates, keyless ignition, and a hill-hold assist feature.

Cons

  • The overall aesthetics remain similar to the older RV400 and misses out on a new design identity.
  • The new 3.5-inch colour console packs in extensive data but visually comes across as slightly cluttered.
  • The highly attractive initial price tag is strictly an introductory offer that will inevitably climb later.

Verdict

On paper, Revolt Motors seems to have precisely addressed the performance gap that held back its previous commuter offerings. By introducing a significantly punchier mid-drive motor, a dedicated Boost mode, and upgrading the front end with robust USD forks, the RVX targets the younger commuter generation with actual tech rather than just marketing hype. The promise of a 160 km IDC range combined with a removable battery pack remains a massive practicality win.

However, since the motorcycle literally just broke cover today, we have to treat these spec-sheet victories with a degree of caution. We still need to throw a leg over the machine to see how that 230 Nm wheel torque translates to real-world street behaviour, check if the cluttered digital dash remains legible under full afternoon glare, and maybe even test how hot the battery gets when pinned in Boost mode. Although the value proposition looks attractive, we will reserve final judgment until we lay our hands on this bike for a proper test.

Pros Cons Revolt RV400

Pros

  • India's first AI enabled electric motorcycle
  • Good range of 156 km in eco mode
  • Decent performance

Cons

  • Low front end feedback
  • Could have had better build quality
  • Expensive

Verdict

Revolt Intellicorp is one of the first movers in the electric motorcycle space in India. The Revolt RV 400 is a commendable product, despite its design and technological origins; whether it has been completely developed in India, or based on an existing Chinese platform. Primarily targeted at the lower end commuter segment, the RV 400 is quite a likeable electric motorcycle, and it ticks all the right boxes to be used as an urban, intra-city motorcycle.
