Force-Motors Cars Between 15 to 25 Lakh in India

We spend an enjoyable day, putting the all-new Force Gurkha through its paces and try to find out where it fits in the SUV food chain. Our time spent with the Gurkha suggests that the Gurkha gets most things right, but it does have its flaws.

The Indian automaker, Force Motors, has officially announced to start selling the Gurkha SUV from September 2014. The company, however, had unveiled the vehicle last year, didn't put it on sale for some unknown reasons.

The milestone unit, built at Force Motors’ Chennai facility, was fitted in the BMW X5.

The Indian Army and Air Force sectors will use the Force Gurkha.

The new Force Urbania will be available in three different wheelbase formats- 3,350 mm, 3,615 mm, and 4,400 mm.

Force Motors said it would not confirm reports on the development of an automatic gearbox-equipped powertrain but did not deny the reports either.

The Gurkha is currently offered in 3-Door and 5-door derivatives both featuring four-wheel drive as standard.

With the 3-door version, Force India has also brought back the 5-door Gurkha. The models are priced at Rs. 16.75 lakh and Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

The 2024 Force Gurkha will be offered in both 3- & 5-door versions. Bookings opened for a token of Rs. 25,000 and the launch will happen in the first week of May 2024.

The 2024 Force Gurkha will come with a lot of upgrades in the features department. These include – a 7-seater layout, a bigger touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster among others.
